In the latest Leadership Journal (one of the publications of Christianity Today) the focus is on spiritual warfare. Also, in my morning devotional Daily in Christ – Neil/Joanne Anderson this week is focused on the spiritual battles we face in our Christian walk. The Bible describes three types of people (1 Cor. 2:14-3:3) – The Natural Person who either does not know about the things of God or does not accept them because they seem like foolishness; the Spiritual Person who has committed his/her life to Christ and has the mind of Christ, filled with the Spirit of Christ and the Worldly/Carnal Person who has received Christ as Savior and Lord, but is not living an exciting victorious Christian life because they are trying to do so in their own strength.

Today is the day that we remember and celebrate one of the most incredible amphibious landings in the history of the world: DDay – June 6, 1944. If you ever have the opportunity to get to New Orleans, one of the must see activities is to go to the World War II Museum (what use to be called the DDay Museum). The history and information is absolutely incredible. It was, of course, also in New Orleans where the Higgins boat, which enabled the landings to take place, was invented and manufactured. President Dwight D. Eisenhower said: “Andrew Higgins is the man who won the war for us.”
