Greetings from the Casa Hogar Alfa
October 13
September 17 we celebrated Mexico’s independence with the whole orphanage and church family. The night was filled with good food, like tacos al pastor and pozole, and dancing. The kids from the orphanage did a variety of traditional Mexican dances and we all enjoyed watching them as much as they enjoyed dancing.

JULY NEWS FROM CASA HOGAR
July 21
It's summertime here at the Casa Hogar. Though it may not feel much different from the rest of the year weather wise, the kids are out of school and there's a lot more action and a lot less quiet time. As the school year ended we were proud to find out that many of our kids were at the top of their class and were rewarded on their closing ceremony. Also when school was coming to an end at the end of June, we were visited by an outreach of 10 kids from Wisconsin.

UPDATE FROM MEXICO
April 28
Some time has passed since the last update and a lot has changed here. Early in March we were visited by a group of dentists from Wisconsin. They put the dental office to use again and saw all of the children in the Casa Hogar plus a few from the congregation. It is always a blessing when they come and serve in such a way. We have had many new additions to the Casa Hogar family. To start off on March 29, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Layla (pronounced L?la ) Alessia, into the world. I was blessed to have a healthy girl and a very quick labor. Our son and all the kids at the orphanage were very excited to have a new baby around and one girl was especially excited because Layla was born on her birthday. We were also blessed with the presence of my mom and dad for 10 days as they enjoyed spoiling their grandchildren.

NEWS FROM CASA HOGAR
March 3
It’s hard to believe that the month of February is over. Since the last time I wrote we were visited by another outreach from Wisconsin. This was a smaller group of 8 and they painted the orphanage. Everyone wanted a change so the orphanage went from blue and yellow to orange and yellow. Now it looks like a ray of sunshine.
