Through the mission agencies of the Presbyterian Church (USA), First Presbyterian touches many lives, both near and far, with God's love.  First Presbyterian Church is also involved in denominational renewal ministries such as Presbyterian Global Fellowship, Presbyterians for Renewal and Presbyterian and Reformed Ministries International.

USA Mission Trips

First Presbyterian has been involved in two mission trips with the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program to the Gulf Region after Hurricane Katrina, the first to Gulfport, MS, and the second to Slidell, LA.  Several follow-up trips have been taken by several skilled workers to assist in the finishing of homes.  We have also been involved in mission work twice in Cedar Rapids, IA, through the PDA with other individuals going several times on their own to do follow-up repairs.
