FROM THE PNC (Their Final Report)
Thank you Lord, for directing our paths.
What a wonderful Spirit-filled weekend full of joy and God's bounty as we gathered with Pastor Doug , his wife Amy and their children Cara and Peter. Congregation, we believe your prayers have been answered as we begin this journey of this next season of life for First Presbyterian. It is more than 1st Presby now having a senior pastor. More than PNC finishing their task. And even more than the congregation voting to accept Pastor Doug as senior pastor. It is that you prayed and we trusted and the result was that all of us got to be part of God working to fulfill His plan for the match He knew was right for us, in His time.
Pastor Doug barely got home Tuesday and sent this message:
"Amy and I were touched by your warmth and kindness for Cara and Peter. Moving won't be easy for them, but having been with you for the last few days, they have a real sense of welcome and a home being ready for them in Rochelle. We remember each of you in our prayers and look forward to joining you for good in Rochelle! "
Please pray for the Forsberg family as they take their next steps in transition; telling their church and friends, finishing school, selling their home, and all that goes with a big move like this.
In His service,
Al, Ann, Dave, Jessica, Karen,
Merry, Priscilla, Sara, Steve
